Shala S. Barney

A Pennsylvania native, Shala S. Barney, Esquire received her bachelor's degree in Economics from La Salle University in Philadelphia. Ms. Barney then continued her education in the DC Metropolitan area at The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate. Since childhood Ms. Barney has held a desire to work as a problem solver for disadvantaged communities and the relationships they have with our American legal system.

During Ms. Barney's law school career, she was advocated for the minority students' interests and advanced education as the President of the Black Law Students' Association. She also interned at the Health Justice Alliance Legal Clinic at Georgetown Law, The Families and the Law Clinic, and the Neighborhood Legal Services Program.

Post law school, Ms. Barney accepted a position as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Michael R. Pearson of Prince George's Circuit Court. Currently, Ms. Barney continues to grow her experience and skills at an Associate Attorney here at A. Clarke Law, PLLC.
